Description

Clear Blue Sky – Clear Blue Sky (1970 Vertigo swirl 6360 013) FIRST PRESSING 1Y/2Y matrices

Hard to find and highly sought after hard rock/prog classic from 1970.

Songwriter and guitarist John Simms was still 17 when they were signed to Vertigo, and this raw and gutsy debut by the three-piece from Acton, West London, was recorded in the summer of 1970.

This is a very listenable copy: the heavyweight vinyl has multiple hairlines but no feelable scratches and plays well with a little crackle/surface noise only really evident in quiet passages. It play grades VG+.

The gatefold sleeve featuring one of the first Roger Dean album designs has only minor corner and edge wear and some marks/ringwear in the centrefold. It has no writing, a square readable spine and clear unfaded colours.

Labels with the famous Vertigo swirl are Excellent.

This comes with a plain white polylined inner sleeve. This is a German first press.

A very decent copy of this increasingly hard to locate Vertigo swirl rock classic - don't miss it!
