Description

Up for sale, I have a vintage 1950's 10” Clef Records, Jazz Series 78 RPM. It features Charlie Parker playing “Autumn in New York” on one side, and “Temptation” on the other.


It is in VG+ condition. It is untested for play-through, but seems to be in good working order. Please see photos for condition.




Grading scale:


Mint (M) - Absolutely perfect in all ways. It is a record that has never been played, and likely to still be sealed in plastic.


Near Mint (NM) - Close to being perfect condition. "It may possess the odd minor defect–a tiny trace of ring wear to the cover, a fingerprint or, around the spindle hole in the center of the record, a few silvery lines." A Near Mint record will not have creases, folds, tears, splits, scratches, scribbles, dings or anything else wrong with it.


Very Good Plus (VG+) - Will have some signs of use, and may even be slightly warped, but it will still play nicely. Labels may be a bit scuffed as will the covers. Some signs of use on label such as writing, owner’s name, or stickers.  


Very Good (VG) - May hear some audible evidence of scratching but the record will not skip. The cover and label will likely show more signs of use.


Good (G) and Good Plus (G+) - Still be playable and not skip, but there may be audible snaps, crackles, and pops. Seams may be split on covers and spines crushed.


Poor (P) and Fair (F) - These examples will be unplayable without skips and have other major problems like excessive warping, cracks, tattered covers or ripped labels.
