Description
This is Pacific Jazz Records PJ LP-19, The Clifford Brown Ensemble Featuring Zoot Sims, a black, deep groove label, original 10" mono issue of this classic record. The record is in VG+(+) condition , (a very strong VG+), showing a few light marks on the playing surface and playing quietly throughout. There are marks on the dead wax both at the beginning and end of each side which effect my grading of the record but does not effect the play. The condition is remarkable for a piece this old. The original cover shows some light shelf wear and a 3"split on the upper seam and a split on the spine but is otherwise excellent. The labels are excellent and show no spindle marks. This is an excellent, collector's grade copy of this rare original issue. The record was cleaned on a VPI 17 and played on a Linn Sondek LP12.
