Description
The record has New York USA on both labels; 43 West 61st St. address at the bottom of the back cover. Deep groove on both sides. The record has "RVG", no "ear", inscribed in the dead wax on both sides. Side 1, identified as "Clifford Brown", 5 tracks, has Brown, trumpet; Gigi Gryce, alto sax, flute; Charlie Rouse, tenor sax; John Lewis, piano; Percy Heath, bass Art Blakey, drums. Side 2, identified as "Clifford Brown-Lou Donaldson", 5 tracks, with Brown, trumpet; Lou Donaldson, alto sax; Elmo Hope, piano; Percy Heath, bass; Philly Joe Jones, drums. All tracks were recorded in 1953.
Cover: VG+ or Better. 1/2" split on the top and bottom edges at the insert edge with some corner wear and light edge wear. No writing on the jacket. Light impression of a record ring on the front cover. Light aging on the back cover and the bottom of the front cover.
Record: VG+ Visually shows very light wear with a number of short, light surface rub marks. There are some clicks a few crackles on slow passages. Most of the record plays with no surface noise. Audibly checked.
