This is the original deep groove RVG-etched “P”-pressing of Clifford Jordan and John Gilmore “Blowing in from Chicago” on the New York 23 labels of Blue Note BLP 1549. The flat trim playing surface is in excellent condition; a few low-level tics at the intro to Side 2; otherwise, an occasional intermittent tic; the music is crisp and clear. The laminated West 63rd cover is clean and bright throughout; professional restoration to the spine and 3” of the top seam. Personnel include Horace Silver, Curly Russell, and Art Blakey. $750.00.
