ITEM DESCRIPTION:

This handsome 3LP set - a still-sealed copy - from Altus (ALTP-128/30, Japanese pressing, label iteration unknown, stereo/mono) features conductor André Cluytens and L'Orchestre de la Société des Concerts du Conservatoire in "live" performances given during their 1964 tour of Japan. 

Included are the following works:

1. Bizet: "Farandol" from the Suite No. 2 of "The Woman of Arles" [LP1-A]
2. Berlioz: Symphonie Fantique Op.14 1st and 2nd movement [LP1-A]
3. Berlioz: Symphonie Fantique Op.14 3rd, 4th, 5th movement [LP1-B]
4. Ravel: Rapsodie Espagnol [LP2-A]
5. Ravel: La Valse [LP2-A]
6. Ravel: Ma Mère l'Oye [LP2-B]
7. Ravel: Pavane for a Dead Princess [LP2-B]
8. Ravel: Tombeau de Couperin [LP3-A]
9. Ravel: "Daphnis and Chloe" Suite No. 2 [LP3-B]
10. Berlioz: Rakoczy March [LP3-B]

LP-1: May 10, 1964 / Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (stereo)

LP-2 & 3: May 7, 1964 / Tokyo Bunka Kaikan (monaural)

Texts are in Japanese, but titles are in English. Overall, a beautiful set.

CONDITION: PLEASE READ VERY CAREFULLY:

The gradations of condition I use are as follows: MINT, Near-Mint, Excellent, Very Good, Good, Fair, Poor.

The outer poly-sleeve still carries the "Super Analogue Disc" sticker sealing it closed and so this appears to be an unplayed copy in as new condition.

PLEASE NOTE:
All LPs are provided with a new Nagaoka (or Nagaoka-style) inner sleeve. The images I've provided are of the actual item you are potentially bidding on - these are not stock images or images I've taken from other sites. Bid with confidence!
