Description
SHIRELLES/ROY ORBISON/FOUR SEASONS/JAN & DEAN Let's Swing The Jingle For Coca-Cola (Aussie) AWA Custom recording AW 31139la (1962-5? - The US version of this single is rare in itself, but this Australian pressing on the custom label is super rare. I'd guess that very few were pressed and not many would still be around in 2014. Artists sing Coke jingles ... pretty cool really.) John Bubbles & Shirelles (1:45) The Shirelles (:60)
The Four Seasons (:90)
2 by Jan & Dean (:90 and :60)
Roy Orbison (:60)
Exact track info is:
A1 The Shirelles And John Bubbles Things Go Better With CokeA2 The Shirelles Things Go Better With Coke
A3 The Four Seasons Things Go Better With Coke
B1 Jan And Dean Things Go Better With Coke
B2 Jan And Dean Things Go Better With Coke
B3 Roy Orbison Things Go Better With Coke
Comes in custom sleeve with artist bios on the back. Please note this EP has locked grooves between tracks where the play will stop ... my dad reminded me of this and explained that it was so the DJ could use the track as an opening promo then switch to another disc without being concerned about preventing the next promo track beginning.
Please note that this is the second copy (and last) of this single I have. I sold one on e-bay about a month odd back that was in slightly better condition but this one is still a very nice copy.
Grade: Disc is over-all EX- under strong light and is pretty clean however Side A has these small abbrasive marks on the first tracks probably caused by dust within the sleeve (These came in card sleeves without inners so I guess all copies were prone these small marks). These tracks play fine on my system but with an audible sound just when the needle crosses these sections. Cover is EX- or better with a little ring wear as seen in scan.
IMPORTANT: All records graded carefully under strong light. I have a long standing good reputation for grading and I strongly recommend taking a glance at my grading info linked below.
Detailed information on my grading system is here. If this record is made in South Korean please click here for further information about South Korean pressings. Most 7 inch records $10 and over will be sent in quality Japanese made 'seal-able' plastic outer sleeves and (if near mint) more often than not they will also be sent in quality Japanese made 'soft' plastic inner sleeves for extra protection against sleeve scuffs and the like.NOTE: If BEST OFFER is nominated - All prices include free worldwide shipping which may in some cases include registration/tracking on higher priced items. The set price is the price I am after but I may consider a lesser price for e-bay members who are either ... located in AUSTRALIA/NZ/SOUTH KOREA/JAPAN ... OR ... has a post box address and/or high feedback ... OR ... is someone who is a regular customer/seller I already know.
PAYPAL ONLY - NO LOCAL PICKUPS. Thanks.
