Matrix/Stamper No.s: 9012X20 A1 / 9012X20 B1. In addition, side 1 has the following etched into the deadwax: “Satan’s Coil Hides The Plain Sight – Earth Quakes Open”. Side 2 has the following etched into the deadwax: “Behold The Moon Gleaming Through Your Third Eye” and “Spider Dust”.

General Information: Although originally only ever issued as an acetate, this is the first ever vinyl pressing, released on the Rockadelic label in conjunction with the band leader, Bill Miller. Just 300 numbered copies were originally sold, with two completely different inserts: 150 copies had an insert credited to Mike Ritchey, and 150 copies had an insert credited to Arthur Bloch. The one that I am selling is unnumbered and has the Arthur Bloch yellow insert. What makes this one special, however, is that it was Bill Miller’s personal copy, and has been signed by him both on the rear of the cover and the insert. In addition to his signature, Bill has also quoted a line from one of the tracks (see photo).

Cover: Plain white thick cardboard, with front and back pasted cover slicks. The corners are slightly bumped and there is a little bit of paste residue on the front left-hand bottom corner, but otherwise in great condition. No ringwear, no edge-wear and no seam-splits. Strictly graded as EX+.

Insert: Yellow insert. Signed by Bill Miller, but otherwise in near-mint condition.

Inner Sleeve: Plain white, paper inner sleeve, which has discoloured slightly and has a 5cm split alone one of the side seams.

Labels: Original Rockadelic silver labels with no evidence of spindle wear.

Vinyl: Under a bright light I can see one or two light, sleeve-removal marks, which do not affect playback. Plays near-mint; no pops, ticks or skips.

Additional Info: All of the vinyl that I am selling is from my personal collection, and has been cleaned on a VPI HW 16.5 Record Cleaning Machine. After cleaning, I keep my records in ‘Mobile Fidelity’ rice paper inner sleeves and store them with the records outside of the covers.
