Rarity: stunning rarity! This is a genuine first pressing of the debut 7” vinyl by Coldplay. This copy was printed on the private label ‘Fierce Panda’ and includes a black vinyl pressing with scratched matrix ‘NING 68 A3; on the A-side and ‘NING 68 B1’ on the B-side
Condition: Outer paper sleeve with folds over is in excellent minus condition with minor age yellowing, minimal indentation from the vinyl record from the vinyl disk and minor smudging on the rear panel. This copy has been signed by Chris Martin in bold silver pen with the words “Dear James & Tam, don’t split, love Chris Martin” across the front panel. The plain white die cut inner sleeve is in excellent condition with no issues. The vinyl has been fully play-tested and both sides play to an excellent standard with minor background noise, no clicks, pops or jumps. Visually, I would point out that side A does have a batch of moderate scuffs near the outer edge that do not effect play (see photo’s). I do not believe this copy has ever been played and looks pristine apart from the marks in the one specific area so I am grading the record visually excellent minus (-) condition.
