Description
“Birds with Broken Wings” Era Records #E-605. Review from “Acid Archives.” Somewhat legendary femme soft-rock with Ms. Lovett baring her soul and heart in a way that becomes almost obscene in its naked honesty. She seems a little too adept at playing the ‘victim’ for my tastes, although it certainly makes for odd listening. Some disturbed male record collectors may listen to this in the wrong way, which is just as scary as Colleen’s comparisons of herself to a sandpiper with broken wings. Featured on the notorious “Hippie Goddess” comp. Songs: Asleep in his arms, Hold on to me, Sandpiper, Birds with broken wings part 1, Roadside Motel, Love man, Women’s liberation blues, This woman, Summers gone, Monday morning, Getting’ over you, Birds with broken wings part 2. Both the vinyl & cover are in VG++ condition. Gatefold cover has a punch hole in the upper right but all seams are intact.
