Collegium Musicum: Marián Varga & Collegium Musicum - LP 180g Vinyl, Remastered
Marián Varga and Collegium Musicum is the second concert and overall fourth album of the legendary Slovak art-rock group. The album was recorded in 1975 and the album was released in 1976. On this album, Varga changed the line-up of the group (guitarist Jozef Farkaš and bassist Ivan Belák were new members), but he continued his artistic concept of blending art-rock and serious music. On this album, he once again brings transcriptions from serious music (this time from the music for the ballet Romeo and Juliet by Sergei Prokofiev and Bartók's Mikrokosmos), as well as his own larger compositions (Music for the Water Fountain No. 1 and especially Let the Man Live). It is an exceptional album intended for demanding listeners and fans of the legendary Slovak band.
