Description
An original 1st pressing of Valentyne Suite on the UK Vertigo label. Matrix 1/1. Please note the labels are consistent with very 1st pressing and mention 'A Philips Record Product' and large Vertigo swirl logo. The heavy set vinyl comes housed in an original gatefold cover which is the very 1st variation and mentions 'Philips Product' down in the bottom right corner. Also included is an original Vertigo swirl inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In great condition and has only seen a moderate level of use. Under close inspection there are a few light marks - and one on Side 2 which is longish and getting feelable. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are nice and quiet and the audio comes across with great clarity. Interference is only minor and infrequent. The only vaguely noticeable interference is in Track 1 [Side2]. Due to the mark mentioned above you will notice a few crackles in the mid-section of this track - nothing really invasive and relatively short lived. Other than that this really is a super rendition - impressive!
Cover (Vg+) Has been looked after down the years and is in far better than many copies that surface. Nice relatively clean front. The rear is in equally good form with just light handling wear. The interior is nicely preserved with only light handling wear. Edge wear is reasonably light with a tad more on the spine - so don't expect all text to be legible. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A fine specimen.
Inner (Vg-) Edges with small splits have been taped up. Reasonably aged.
