This 2023 Music On Vinyl reissue (MOVLP1684) is pressed on heavyweight 180g gold vinyl, part of a strictly limited run of just 750 individually numbered copies. This one is #427, sealed and untouched, a gleaming relic for audiophiles and collectors alike. Originally recorded in the winter of 1968–69, the album fuses British blues, jazz improvisation, and proto-prog firepower. From the volcanic sax of Dick Heckstall-Smith to Dave Greenslade’s swirling organ and Jon Hiseman’s commanding drums, the band conjures a gladiatorial spectacle of sound. The title itself—borrowed from the Latin “Morituri te salutant”—sets the tone: bold, defiant, unforgettable. Includes a lyric insert and comes housed in a single sleeve.
