Description

Label : Vertigo / VO 1 / 1969
Matrix Numbers : 886 775 1Y*1 420 11 17 / 886 775 2*Y*1 420 11 14 (machine embossed)
Notes : Very rare and early UK 1st Pressing, features a full swirl label on Side A and a large swirl on Side B as well as 'a Philips Record Product' text printed underneath the Vertigo logo - I believe this was only printed on the very earliest of pressings. Matt gatefold sleeve and original Vertigo swirl inner sleeve.
Condition : The vinyl is close to mint - by the looks of it, this record was only ever played a few times at the most, and the only fault that I can find apart from a few specks of dust is a tiny little mark on the last few seconds of the final track on Side B - the labels are also close to mint with a couple of very faint marks visible.
The sleeve has a little rubbing wear to its edges, corners and spine but nothing serious, plus there is a little worn patch on the bottom right corner of the front [see photo], but aside from that there are no other marks or any damage, just a very light crease line visible on the back of the sleeve. The inner sleeve has a couple of light creases and a couple of small stains in one corner.
So there you have it, an extremely rare early pressing, and overall a wonderful example of this 40-year-old album!
