DESCRIPTION: Colosseum- Valentyne Suite LP.  1st UK press with Swirl inner dated 0470 and "Philips Record Product" to label AND inside of gatefold sleeve.  Side Bs tracks described as "Themes" to the sleeve and "Parts" to label.  One of a number of swirls from my own collection that I am now selling following recent slight upgrades.  Packed this weighs over 500gm so overseas postage is as for a double. Postage cost includes tracking and a box mailer.  LABEL AND CATALOGUE NUMBER: Vertigo  VO1 847 900 VTY. YEAR OF RELEASE: 1969. COUNTRY OF RELEASE:  UK: CONDITION (VINYL/COVER): VG+/VG+. Vinyl is very clean with a nice dark sheen. Tilted to light a few light hairlines and brushing lines prevent visual EX grade but have no effect on playback. Played all of this today on my budget deck.  Sits perfectly flat on the turntable. Plays EX, music is clean, clear and loud with only a very occasional soft tick.  Cover is a strong VG+, pretty near to EX.  It is firm and square, retains great shape and has only light to moderate edge wear, light to moderate corner wear and light creasing.  It has a small graze in front top right hand corner. Very clean inside to gate fold sleeve. Decent shape to fully legible spine. Swirl inner sleeve has moderate yellowing, a split to 2 of 3 sides and fully attached poly. No writing. Very clean labels- just check out the photos.  No writing, rips, stickers or sticker tears. Grading system: I use UK’s “Record Collector” Grading system. I DO PLAY EVERY RECORD I LIST NOW even though its often just quite briefly. Please bear in mind you may get a touch of background sound, even if its just on intros and between the tracks on 30-40 year old vinyl records!! :: MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface mark or deterioration in the sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in the sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing. VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover, or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable. GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound has noticably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding,scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration etc. I will at times use a + or - to indicate when a record falls between the grades. I REMOVE ALL VINYL FROM SLEEVES PRIOR TO POSTING. RECORDS ARE SENT IN BEST QUALITY MAILERS WITH 2 STIFFENERS. I ALWAYS COMBINE POSTAGE BUT COST DEPENDS ENTIRELY ON WEIGHT OF PACKAGE.
