Colosseum - Valentyne Suite - Vertigo swirl 1970 pressing, VG record/VG+ sleeve.
This is the slightly later pressing from 1970 which omits the previous "A Philips Record Product" statement of earlier pressings from the label or sleeve, and with the smaller label typeface used on the side 2 titles and credits. That aside, it is still a 'large swirl' Vertigo pressing.
It comes with the original inner sleeve dated October 1970 (1070), which shows signs of wear and tear and some discolouration but still intact and usable.
The gatefold sleeve has a small name written at the top right of the rear just above the "VO 1" catalogue number, but is generally otherwise in really nice condition: only light wear on parts of edges but mainly clean and well-preserved, no splits or tears or other signs of heavy handling (see photos).
The record looks clean at first glance and with a few marks and light scratches, but nothing too deep as far as I can see. However, it does play with some background crackle (more noticeable in the quieter passages) but without sticking or jumps. It would probably benefit from a deep clean, which I was going to do myself but then I upgraded to a first pressing that came along, so am selling this one on and the new owner can use their own preferred method of cleaning for this.
