Black & White vertigo swirl with “Philips record product” endorsed, confirming the very first pressing of this awesome rock psyche.. EXCELLENT condition, with no spindle wear visible around central hole. Minimal playing history . A few spindle lines observed . Superb exhibit .

Swirl inner bag-EX . Polylined !!!  Just a little creasing, around outer edges. Nothing much to fault . No rips, nor tears.Wonderful collectors’ item !

Gatefold sleeve

Very good, considering its extreme fragility. Unlaminated opening gatefold sleeve. Most are found heavily worn. This one is graded very good condition . General wear , mainly found on edges and spinal column. Faces quite superb, with an ultra clean appearance, vivid coloration maintained. The centrefold is very presentable, with just some fading toward the outer edges. No other damage. The front face, of album sleeve, is a pleasure to view ,with the iridescent pinkish tints, filtering softly through the landscape in magnificent style. No rips, nor tears , nor any hand writing. No seam splits. Some faint ring wear on reverse, with hardly any visible on front face. Not quite square . A clean, smooth feel to the gatefold .

Audio

EXCELLENT+

Delivery is absolutely superb. At least an excellent and considerably better in some parts .One of the best audios I have heard from this rock classic. I could not detect any fault throughout play. To exemplify how good this delivery is, during Machine Demands A Sacrifice, there is a silent pause as the music fades and then is quietly reintroduced, and there is hardly a crackle from these magnificent grooves.

  The extra loud cut engineering operates  very effectively, with tones delivered sharp and clear. Vertigo pressings are renowned for much wider grooves to accommodate the heavy rock ballads/grating tones, so widely used during the heavy rock presentation. These grooves operate effectively ,conveying  one of the best Colosseum performances ever heard from this release. The heavy guitar riffs and the pounding percussion beats punch the airwaves with a warm vibrancy, seldom heard from this Colosseum classic and is delivered like no other. Excellent+ delivery. Almost faultless!

Vinyl

Thick vertigo pressing. A giant heavyweight and has a stunning appearance. On first viewing, it appears absolutely perfect , unmarked and with little to fault. On closer examination, there is the faint surface mark/ hairlines on each side ,possibly owing to sleeve removal. Therefore visual is excellent ! I must stress that neither of these factors affect the musical presentation in any way.

Only played a few times, it appears, very carefully,so in the mega rare category, as these vertigo pressings were heavily played, used and abused suffering much groove wear and surface damage. This record has come through decades without any serious damage and is  possibly one of the best examples of this rock classic ever offered to you. Do not miss out on this awesome and stunning album release.
