Labels
Black & White vertigo swirl. EXCELLENT condition with NO spindle wear visible around central hole. Minimal playing history . Several spider lines observed ONLY. Remarkable condition.
Swirl inner bag-EX ++. Polylined !!! Just a little creasing around outer edges. Nothing much to fault.
Gatefold sleeve
Excellent considering its extreme fragility. Unlaminated opening gatefold sleeve. Most are found heavily worn. This one is graded excellent. Solid spine with slight top rub /very light edge wear only. Title very clear and legible. Faces quite superb with an ultra clean appearance, lightly handled. The centrefold is near perfection. The front face is staggering with the iridescent pinkish tints filtering softly through the landscape in magnificent style. Have not seen a much better example of this album cover.
Audio
Delivery is absolutely superb. At least an excellent and considerably better in some parts .Light static detected during last track during the silent interlude and that is all there is to mention.
Any surface disturbance is virtually undetected and is heard in the extreme distance, if at all, as the extra loud cut engineering operates very effectively with tones delivered sharp and clear. Vertigo pressings are renowned for much wider grooves to accommodate the heavy rock ballads/grating tones so widely used during the heavy rock presentation. These grooves operate effectively ,conveying one of the best Colosseum performances ever heard from this release.The heavy guitar riffs and the pounding percussion beats punch the airwaves with a warm vibrancy seldom heard from this Colosseum classic and is delivered like no other. Sensational delivery.
Vinyl
Thick vertigo pressing. A giant heavyweight and has a stunning appearance. On first viewing, it appears absolutely perfect , unmarked and with little to fault. On closer examination, there are some light hairlines owing to sleeve removal/surface marks if angled against a strong light. Therefore visual has been graded excellent ! I must stress that neither of these factors affect the musical presentation in any way.
Only played a handful of times so in the mega rare category as these vertigo pressings were heavily played, used and abused suffering much groove wear and surface damage. This record has come through decades virtually undamaged and is probably one of the best examples of this rock classic ever offered to you. Do not miss out on this awesome and stunning album release.
