Description
Coltrane John Coltrane Prestige 7105 mono LP. Original Deep groove pressing with yellow fireworks label, 446 W. 50th St., N.Y.C. address, and RVG on the trail-off wax. Sidemen are Johnnie Splawn, Sahib Shibab, Red Garland, Paul Chambers, Al Heath, and Mal Waldron . Tunes are: Bakai\Violets For Your Furs\Time Was\Straight Street\While My Lady Sleeps\Chronic Blues .
Condition - Grading is Visual Under Bright Light
Cover is a strong VG+. The front cover graphics are beautiful and vivid. The corners show wear with the top right corner split 1/2 inch, the lower right corner is split 1 1/2 inches. The middle of the spine is split about 1 1/2 inches with some seam cracking on either side of the split. The back cover slick shows some age toning, surface wear, and staining with a previous owners name in ink on the upper right corner and a small red mark on the upper left. "Printed and Packaged by GEM Albums, Inc. N.Y." on the bottom right corner. A decent example of this cover that faces up nicely.
LP is a nice glossy VG+ with some sleeve wear, and a some hairlines, nothing feelable or serious. Side B has one long but thin surface scuff, again not feelable. Labels show spindle marks visible under bright angled light with a couple of small stains and some surface wear around the spindle hole on side A. A solid example of this rare and desireable early Prestige.
Overall not perfect or NM but a solid copy of a rare jazz LP. This copy should some collector very happy. Check out my other auctions for more rare and interesting records. Winning auctions may be combined to save postage cost. Check out my feedback for results of recent rare record auctions.
Grading
Grading is SS (still sealed), NM, VG+, VG. The myriad of grading systems on Ebay is a good indicator of the subjective nature of grading. In my opinion NM is close to perfect with one or two very minor flaws, VG+ is above average and collectable and VG is average used condition but probably the best choice for playing. I'm a collector and try to describe LPs as accurately as possible, the way I would want them described to me. The pictures should at least give a good indication of the condition of the covers and labels. Please see my seller feedback for comments on my grading. If you don't agree with how I'm calling a record that is your privilege but with all respect please don't bid.
Packaging
LP will be shipped outside of jacket in record bag and boxed for protection using an LP shipping box with cardboard stiffeners.
Terms and Payment
Low starting price and no reserve. Five day auction. Paypal only. Payment must be made within 48 hours of auction close or seven days for other forms of payment unless other arragements are made before end of auction.
Shipping and Insurance
I don't profit from shipping. If an overage occurs I will refund the difference.

$4.00 Priority mail with free delivery confirmation in US. Insurance is optional but I cannot be responsible for uninsured shipments.
International
Shipping methods are First Class or Priority International. First Class cannot be tracked. Please see shipping calculator for cost.

Refund Policy
I stand behind what I sell, LP may be returned in original condition for a full refund minus return shipping costs if I am notified within three days of receipt of LP. No rebates if you keep the LP. I don't end auctions early, there is no Buy It Now price, emails asking for a BIK price will be ignored. Good luck!
