Description

  • Prestige 1957 deep groove monaural original LP “Wheelin & Dealin” (Prestige PRLP 7131, 446 W. 50th St NYC, RVG in dead wax).
  • This LP features an all-star lineup of jazz greats: Frank Wess (tenor sax & flute), John Coltrane (tenor sax), Paul Quinichette (tenor sax), Mal Waldron (piano), Doug Watkins (bass) and Arthur Taylor (drums).
  • The tracklist features four long tracks: Thing’s Ain’t What They Used To Be/Wheelin’/Robbins’ Nest/Dealin’.
  • For the most part this LP plays with crisp, clear fidelity and just some light surface noise. There is one scratch that lightly clicks a few times and actually plays through better than it looks. There is also one groove near the end of side two, track two that has about 2 inches of groove damage. It plays through and does not skip but makes a short “whoosh” noise. It is a shame really as the rest of the LP plays quite nicely. I ask you to please not bid if these defects will bother you. The cover is in excellent condition with just light wear and some light flaking on about 2 inches of spine (the print is clear).
