Description
I am currently listing a group of early 78 records that belonged to one gentleman near where I live. There will be a few added each day for around thirty records total. I will play each one and describe the condition as well as I can. Some have original sleeves in various condition, some have a random sleeve as seen in photos.
Please note: I have a simple player that has no treble or other controls and also I have been told they make a different needle suited for 78 records. Therefore, what I hear will likely be much noisier than what someone with proper gear will experience.
Packing will be done properly with the cardboard sandwich and oversize box method. I am only able to combine shipping on items ending the same day. Otherwise, shipping is $ 8.00.
This listing is for: Columbia 12710...Blind Blake...Cold Hearted Mama Blues
Side A : Cold Hearted Mama Blues
Appearance is very nice with little dulling, light scuffs , and scratches. Plays pretty well but gets stuck and repeats same word about 25 seconds in. After that it plays through. There is a constant hiss that gets louder in places with pretty clear vocals and guitar. Great blues vocals and guitar.
Side B: Back Door Slam Blues
Appearance is very nice with some with little dulling, light scuffs and scratches. Beginning has some distortion " bursts " that become fewer as it goes on. Plays through with no skips or repeats but remains kind of noisy with a few more distortion bursts. Vocals are clear though, and it is a great blues song.
