Frank Blevins And His Tar Heel Rattlers

“Don’t Get Trouble On Your Mind / Nine Pound Hammer”

Columbia 15280

10” Shellac Released in 1927

This is a rare old piece of early country-western greatness, and in very nice playable condition.

Tracks:

A Don’t Get Trouble On Your Mind

B Nine Pound Hammer

The record grades to V+ to E- on the VJM scale (or VG- on the Goldmine scale) with light surface wear and a couple of light scratches, but nothing deep and it is completely playable. It has light groove wear, and a very clean playing surface overall. Please click on the photos above and use the zoom feature to get a supersize view for close inspection.

Please Note: 78 rpm shellac records require a lot more care and materials in packaging than a standard 33 rpm LP. All shellacs will be shipped in an LP mailer with corrugated pads, inside of an oversized box and surrounded by foam peanuts. Because of this, we have to add an extra $3 handling charge per package to help cover the cost of extra materials – combined purchases will only receive one handling charge, as only one total package is affected. We apologize for the extra charge, and we’re splitting the difference with you by absorbing half of the extra cost ourselves – we hope this isn’t too much, and the extra padding allows us to ship these fragile records across the country or across the world, worry-free and at affordable economy-class postage rates.

Domestic shipping within the USA is $4.00 for the first record and the second record ships for free – Please click here for our Complete Shipping Rates.  Shipping to everywhere else is airmail only.  We ship worldwide; if you are an international buyer, please wait for our invoice with the shipping rate.  PayPal is the preferred method of payment.  All records are shipped in corrugated cardboard boxes with corrugated cardboard pads for secure shipping to anywhere in the world.  International buyers should understand the laws in their country that govern customs VATs, duties, taxes & fees; these fees are the responsibility of the buyer, and are not included in the sale or shipping price paid to us.

Grading is done according to the Goldmine Grading Standards using the following scale: Mint/NM/VG/G/P with the appropriate + or - to further describe the condition.  Please click here for our Complete Grading Criteria.  “Mint” is essentially new, and “Poor” is essentially unplayable. We have 19 years of experience with the Goldmine system, and grade conservatively so you’ll have no surprises.
