Description

Very nice copy of the rare Columbia UK mono LP, 33CX 1606, 'The Cellist's Hour', Pierre Fournier, cello, with Gerald Moore, piano. Original Blue and Gold label, XAX 1322-1N/XAX 1323-5N matrix numbers.

Fully-laminated, scallop-flipback sleeve has light edge creases and ringwear and significant staining around the edges, as well as rippling and a small amount of laminate lift at the opening edge. Sleeve grades Good to Good plus.

Vinyl is extremely clean and shiny, and flat, with no warp, a very well looked after example, with just a few barely noticeable, very small hairlines and a couple of more noticeable lines on side 2, band 1. Audio is very strong, with some light background crackle and some regular but not too obtrusive light clicks; these do not detract from the very full, strong mono sound. Overall, vinyl grades EX+ visually, and EX to EX- playgrade.
