UK EMI Columbia Stereo LP SAX-2264. Brahms Double Concerto and Tragic Overture. David Oistrakh and Pierre Fournier are joined by Alceo Galliera conducting the Philharmonia Orchestra.
12" 33 rpm LP. Hard to find English Pressing on 1st Edition Blue / Silver label.

We just acquired this from an old Escondido estate of an elderly Mingei Museum member here in San Diego, who's husband was from a wealthy Austro-Hungarianfamily. He served both with the French Foreign Legion before WWII and the OSS during the war....the home literally PACKED full of GENRATIONS of Treasures...OLD Chinese, Japanese, European, and American art and objects, to fantastic Jewelry pieces and Heirloom mementos, this treasure has been safely stored away for decades in a smoke-free home.
PLEASE READ BEFORE BIDDING. We are NOT Professional record dealers, but will be selling some select LPs from an estate (see provenance below) we feel may be worthy of listing on Ebay. We inspect the vinyl and covers VISUALLY in the sunlight and do our best to describe issues visually evident.
We do NOT own audiophile stereo equipment, and have no way of knowing how the vinyl actually sounds, and therefore cannot describe, nor guarantee, the audio sound / condition / quality of the vinyl we offer for sale. Because the records we offer have been stored for decades, we HIGHLY reccommend a thorough cleaning of the vinyl with a VPI machine (or similar) before playing.
However, we try to use discernment in choosing albums that are essentially visually glossy, with no more than minor surface marks and the usual lint & dust often found on vinyl stored for decades.
FYI: On previous occasions we have encountered a few unscrupulous Ebay buyers that have attempted to return a purchase to us that LOOKED LIKE the item we shipped them but upon close inspection, clearly WAS NOT. We use a special, tiny invisible unique mark on nearly all our items item that can only be seen using a special light. If we approve a return, please don't attempt to fool us,
CONDITION - VISUAL
Record: Glossy, looks to have been played very carefully on unknown equipment; some light marks evident. Some dust / lint particles evident reccommend thorough cleaning with VPI machine (or similar) before playing.
Cover: Both original sleeve and cover are very clean and glossy, all seams intact with no splitting. A few minor wrinkles to cover / corners. Gold EMI label and original price label fully intact.
