Description
Columbia Records Present Gene Autry I believe this compilation is from the 40's but can't find it anywhere. I also believe it is probably a first pressing, can I prove it? No.
For those not familiar with 78 records, they only play one song per 10" side, so these five records have a total of 10 songs.
1. Don't Waste Your Tears on Me (1936) 2. Nobodies Darling But Mine (1936) 3. Mexicali Rose (1939) 4. You're the Only Star (1948) 5. Old Missouri Moon (1935) 6.Tumbling Tumbleweed (1935) 7 & 8 Goodbye Little Darlin' Goodbye on both sides, the same song! (1939) 9.Sail along silvery moon (1946) 10. There's a Gold Mine in the Sky (1938)
Listen to the video, that is the quality of the sound of the record. MOST all records that were recorded in the 30's and 40's sounded like someone just took them off a gramophone.
We enjoyed listening to them very much, and are sure you will too.
Please just keep your expectations in line with the age of the record..
