Columbia SAX 2347 Blue Silver ES1 WAGNER OTTO KEMPERER Philharmonia Orchestra 1960
One of many quality ORIGINAL mainly UK FIRST PRESSING classical recordings I will be listing over the coming days all from a SUPERB ONE OWNER COLLECTION purchased new in the "Golden Age" 1950s-60s. I have acquired the collection direct from the gentleman's widow - they were bought from new, mostly PLAYED ONCE on highest quality equipment and recorded on reel to reel and then ARCHIVED away. Hence most of the vinyl in this collection is unmarked and just like new. I will point out any flaws (should there be any) as I individually list each one.
This one is Columbia Sax 2347 Blue & Silver ES1 label. Original pictorial liner sleeve. The labels are in mint condition. Outer sleeve has a very small split to bottom and wear to top opening edge ; bottom right corner of flipback needs gluing down ; small number to top left corner of reverse. The vinyl is NEAR MINT with just one small, light non-feelable, non audible mark (test played to confirm absolutely no issues and superb sound), looking like only been played one or two times MAXIMUM. Any lines visible in my scans are simply light reflections and not on the vinyl which is superb. A terrific example that only the very picky would seek to improve on, possibly the sleeve, but not that essential.
