Description
Collectors, here is a super duper disc, Columbia Black Seal Viva-Tonal 10 inch #1110, circa 1928. On one side Billy Jones and Ernest Hare ("The Happiness Boys"). sing the song "Since Henry Ford Apologized to Me", with piano. The song refers to the anti-semetic references in the Ford "Dearborn Independent" newspaper, and his apology. With heavy Yiddish accents, the boys sing about this amazing apology, now they like Henry (and Edsel, too)! On the flip side, Vaughn De Leath ("The Radio Girl") and Frank Harris sing "I walked Back From the Buggy Ride", with piano. This is a fun song about a broken auto and love, very enjoyable. The record plays well with fairly minimal surface noise, there are two small outer edge chips on the "Ford" side. Super hard to find historic record, go for it!
