Description
This is part of a large auction featuring R&B, doo-wop and blues singles from several small independent labels of the 1950's/early 60's.

Release: Chuck Higgins – The Duck Walk / The Rooster
Format: 45 rpm 7" single
Year: 1958
Notes: Purple label first pressing. One of the later singles from Higgins who released records on several different West Coast labels. Both tracks on this one are sax-based instrumentals. Higgins does some interesting stuff here, a little more of the box than most of these 50's instrumentals you hear.
Vinyl Condition: VG+, Vinyl itself is in great shape with basically no wear, just one small mark on Duck. It plays well and sounds great with no skips/ticks/bumps, hardly any background noise at all. Labels are very nice, with no tears/scuffing/stickers. This is a really nice copy overall.
Sleeve Condition: VG, has a blank sleeve that I believe is original. Has some minor wrinkling and a small pencil number. No tears/splits/writing.
All records I sell have been personally cleaned and play tested. Check back in late-January for a rock 'n roll/rockabilly auction and a very cool selection of 78's after that.
