Description

Complete Franklin Mint 100 Classical LP Set: The 100 Greatest Recordings of All Time. Condition: flawless! Original cost, in the 1970s, was about $1000. There are 50 beautiful vinyl-coated, gold-embossed boxes, each containing two red vinyl LPs and a superb multi-page booklet of notes, pictures, commentary, etc. These boxes are the most desirable of the 3 styles that were used, the so-called "clamshell" boxes, the heaviest and finest ones Franklin Mint issued. Forty-three of the boxes are factory sealed, and of the remainder, none have been played.

This has to be the best set in existence, and this is a wonderful opportunity, perhaps your last one, to own this magnificent set of the most time-honored recordings ever produced. The composers whose works are included read like a Who’s Who of musical greatness, and the orchestras, conductors, soloists, and singers are all world-class.

These records will be sold as a complete set only. They weigh approximately 185-190 pounds, ready for shipping. Full insurance is required and will be paid, along with shipping charges, by the buyer. I will not, however, charge for packaging.

The records are located in central New York State, near Ithaca. If it is convenient for both of us, weather permitting, I would be willing to meet the buyer within a few hours drive and deliver the records personally, saving the buyer the expense of shipping and insurance.
