Description

The Complete Blue Note Forties Recordings of John Hardee and Ike Quebec

Long out-of-print, here's a great 4LP set from Mosaic Records numbered 0787/5000 featuring the two great swing saxophonists.

I examined both sides of all four LPs under a strong light and confidently grade all as strong VG+, some of them could probably grade as NM, but i'll risk erring on the side of cautiousness. On two or three of the eight sides there are very minor scuffs but nothing significant enough to affect play or the VG+ grade. I've probably played this set twice at most, so it's not surprising. I don't think I bought this one direct from Mosaic, but it's definitely not been played much at all.

The booklet is perfect, but the box has a bit of fading at the top left on the front, as you can see in one of the photographs, and also a bit of scuffing - nothing terrible though. Also, the top center of the box on the back has about a 1.5 inch tear that does not go all the way through the box - the plastic covering has basically split off a little bit(actually it looks worse in my photo than in reality). Generally speaking an excellent condition copy of this hard to find set.
