"THE COMPLETE JOHNNY HODGES SESSIONS, 1951 - 1955" released by MOSAIC RECORDS (MR6-126) in 1989, features Hodges' work after he left Duke Ellington to lead his own ensembles. All were recorded by NORMAN GRANZ and most released on his own NORGRAN, CLEF, and VERVE RECORDS, along with previously unreleased tracks. There are 6 LPs in rice inner sleeves and a 16-page full-size booklet (NM+) and comes in a hinged box. This was a Limited Edition pressing of 7500 numbered copies of which this is #1065. The 6 LPs are in MINT condition, appears as though the records have never been played. There are No marks or scratches of any kind on the 12 sides of totally clean, glossy vinyl. The Box Set is in NEAR MINT condition, the box seams including the hinge are perfect, the corners sharp, and the front and back showing Next-To-No wear. The is a rare JAZZ lovers find!
