Complete Set Of "The Deccagone Singles" + Bonus Deccagone Single "By Royal Command"
At auction is a complete set of seven colored vinyl 45s + picture sleeves from the Beatles Decca audition (January 1, 1962), plus "By Royal Command," from the Decca auditions but not originally included in the set. The tape of the audition remained unreleased until 1977 when Joe Pope (The Beatles fanzine Strawberry Fields Forever) obtained a copy and produced 45 rpm singles, on colored vinyl, on the Deccagone label. I purchased these from Joe in 1977. They have never been played and have been stored in my smoke-free home since that time.
