Confessin' The Blues Vol.1
2LP vinyl in gatefold
Not only are they the greatest band in the world, the Rolling Stones are also the greatest champions of the blues. So who better to curate a compilation like this than the Rolling Stones, whose music has been inspired by the blues throughout their career? The compilation Confessin The Blues brings together the greatest blues musicians and offers a perfect overview of the genre. The track listings of the various formats were chosen by The Rolling Stones.

The Rolling Stones were fans and supporters of the blues even before the start of their great career - and still are to this day. On their current studio album Blue & Lonesome they interpret blues classics, many of which can also be found in the original on Confessin The Blues. Confessin The Blues features tracks by the greatest blues pioneers including Howlin Wolf, John Lee Hooker, Elmore James, Muddy Waters, Chuck Berry, Big Bill Broonzy and Robert Johnson. These artists had a lasting influence on the formation of The Rolling Stones, whether it was influencing Keith's guitar licks or Mick's singing and lyrics.

Confessin The Blues will be available as 2x2 vinyl LP sets and as a 5x10 vinyl book (replicas of the original 78RPM releases). All versions include liner notes by music journalist Colin Larkin. The book format also offers so-called movable art card prints by the blues illustrator Christoph Mueller. Stone's guitarist Ronnie Wood designed the album artwork.
