Description
Welcome to Wayne's Wecords: buyer and seller of quality vinyl, specialising in ORIGINAL 1977 - 1994 releases.
I believe this to be an original Jamaican first press limited to a few hundred initial copies:
• the cover is the original blue striped one, later copies were red or black. Legend has it that Jah Wise painted 30 - 50 copies in yellow, but he didn't get his hands on this one.
• the band name is spelt Congoes on the label, but Congos on the sleeve
• the sleeve thanks the Meditations for "backing voices"
• title on the sleeve is Heart Of The Congos, but Heart Of The Congo Man on the labels
• etched matrix numbers on the dead wax are LP-4049-A (and -B on the flip)
I play both sides of every record I sell so you can be certain you are buying a disc that has been checked for skips, pops and repeating. ?
This record is in VERY GOOD condition - both sides play great without any of the above defects. Visually it looks great for a 41 year old record.
Comes in VERY GOOD condition picture sleeve - no writing or creases. There's a small section where the front cover has come away - see pic.
Comes with plain transparent plastic inner sleeve.
?
From a non-smoking home.?
If you're local to DA16 (Kent) - you are also welcome to collect.
