Description

For sale is a record performed by Zubin Mehta conducting The Los Angeles Philharmonic titled "Aaron Copland: Lincoln Portrait, William Kraft: Concerto For 4 Percussion Solousts and Orchestra and Contextures: Riots-Decade '60", originally released in 1969 on London Records, made in England for import into the United States. I bought this record used, professionally cleaned it on my VPI HW-17 machine and put it back into its original inner sleeve, then put away into a record storage box, that was kept under optimum conditions for both temperature and humidity until today. The original inner sleeve is Near Mint. The cover is graded as Very Good Plus because of minor corner blunts, ring wear and shelf rubs. The spine is graded as Excellent with a little damage at the corners, along with color loss along the edge. In the dead wax between the labels and the last tracks are the matrix numbers 1-W/2-W, indicating that early stampers were used to press this record at the Decca Record Company's pressing plant in England, U.K.. The vinyl is visually graded as Near Mint, with surfaces that are shiny and bright, in a like-new condition, without any surface scratches, sleeve marks, scuffs or spindle marks on the labels. I'm play grading this record as Near Mint, with only one pop on Side One and occasional super low levels of inherent vinyl background noise. It plays all the way through without any skips or lock-ups. This is still one of the best copies of this record that I have ever seen or heard and you would be hard pressed to find a copy like this one. I have more Classical albums, as well as records of all genres in my Ebay store. Please take a look. They're predominately Near Mint. Thank you for viewing my listing.    I've been collecting records for about 50 years now and have always cleaned them and put them away carefully in plastic inner sleeves. Over the years I've used Dust Bugs, Disc Washers and have finally invested in a professional VPI record cleaning machine. Now that I'm retiring, I'm selling my very esoteric collection. I'm not a professional grader of records, but will use record guides, as well as my personal experiences as a basis of my grading all records. Since grading is subjective, I will be conservative. I offer discounts for multiple sales. Photos are of the actual item for sale, not a stock photo. Please review all descriptions and photos because I do not accept returns. Thank you for looking!
