Description
This is a very good copy of the ORIGINAL US edition of Johnny Burnette and the Rock 'n Roll Trio, one of the truly iconic records of rock and roll. LP is in strong VG condition by either the Goldmine or UK Record Collector standards. There are numerous light paper scuffs visible on both sides, but the record plays through great beginning to end with a minimum of surface noise - the only song where there are a few noticeable pops rising above the level of the music is I Love You So, which if you know the record isn't that great a loss ;-). Clean maroon labels on 160 gram vinyl with a deep groove, no spindle trails, stamped matrix numbers (MG5032T2 on Side One, MG5033T1 on Side Two). The cover is Good only, attractive, but with some light griming on both sides, 8" seam split on bottom edge, 6 1/2" seam split on top edge, bumped corners, and sticker residue in lower right hand corner of back cover (see picture). No tape or other amateur attempts at repair, though. The title and catalogue number are printed on the spine and "Printed in U.S.A." is in the lower right hand corner front and back. I'll put the record in a generic cover and sleeve for shipping to protect the original. A long time resident on Goldmine's lists of the 50 most valuable Rock 'n' Roll records, perhaps not as nice as the one offered with the cover in "original" shrink wrap (on a 50s record???) which a major auction house sold for over $10K last Fall, but still a solid, respectable copy you'll enjoy playing.
