Coven, Witchcraft, Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls. Original Mercury press. Here's what the great Acid Archives had to say about it, "This is the same band who had the hit "One Tin Soldier" from the "Billy Jack" movie. They claim that at the time of this first album they were legitimately interested in Satanism. Whether it's real or not, I defy you not to laugh at the scream of "kiss the goat" during the black mass that takes up most of side two. This isn't especially musically interesting; it's collectable because it's an oddity and for the creepy picture of a topless Jinx Dawson on the inner sleeve. An unfortunately timed Esquire magazine cover photo of Charles Manson holding the album cover in his hands assured that the label would bury it without hype. Coven did release two more albums, though neither of them are of interest to collectors."
