Description
Here is the original stereo pressing of "Witchcraft Destroys Minds & Reaps Souls" by Coven on Mercury records (SR-61239) from 1969.
The gate-fold jacket is in excellent condition with very minor edge and corner wear, very light partial ring wear and a small drill hole in the upper-right corner. There is an extra flap built into the jacket, with the right-half of the infamous "naked altar" picture on one side and lyrics on the other side along with the inside back cover. The inner sleeve is excellent. The vinyl is in excellent condition. I played three tracks on each side and they all sounded great overall, but with one very light pop in the beginning of side one and just a few very faint pops on side two during the Satanic Mass. Labels are tight and excellent.
The female member of the band, Jinx Dawson, also sang "One Tin Soldier" for Tom Laughlin's movie "Billy Jack" in 1971, but asked that the band, not her, be listed in the credits for it. By the way, that's her on the "naked altar". Noted on the inner jacket is an offer to receive a 36" x 24" poster of the "naked altar" scene for $1.00 (to cover postage & handling).
