Description
So, one night back in 1997 the Cramps appeared instore at the now defunct Tower Records on South St here in Philly. Later they played an epic gig at the also now defunct Trocadero. I was lucky enough to catch both. I had seen them 33 times live in concert before that sweet night, but it was my 1st time meeting and greeting. Let me tell you, they are every bit as unique and genuine in person as they are on record or stage. Also, very warm and witty without losing that edge. They were gracious enough to sign most of their 1st pressings that I schlepped to the appearance, including this, one of their finest later period albums. As you can see all four band members at the time signed it: the late (RIP), great Lux Interior, the lovely & talented, one-of-a-kind Poison Ivy, Slim Chance, and Harry Drumdini. It is personalized to me and my future husband. They were a real blast to hang out with!
As for the record details, the wax is in VG+ CONDITION. Still quite lustrous after all of these years. A few markings appear on both sides, but nothing feelable (just the music). Of course, these markings have zero negative affect on perfect playback. The sleeve just shows a tad of wear at the very bottom in the front. No rips, tears or splits, still nice and glossy; ergo the EXC grade. Original inner sleeve with photos and lyrics is crisp and clean. I'm also including a rare promotional shelf-talker display that has never been used. It is PRISTINE save for a crease at the top of the quote bubble. Enjoy and stay sick!
