Cream Disraeli Gears LP MONO UK REACTION 1st Press [Ex/Vg+] CRACKER WINDFALL*

Description

An original very 1st press from Autumn 1967 - in great shape...not abused like is so often the case. WINDFALL publishing which I believe was either incorrect at 1st pressing or was changed for other reasons. Matrix A1/B1. Heavy-set vinyl...like tank buster grade! The vinyl comes housed in an original FULLY laminated cover [front and back] - considered very 1st issue. To be true 1st issue they should have the format indicator in the top left corner and the track listing on the right side of the eyeball should be in white! [yes - it's true!] The original inner sleeve is there. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex-) In excellent condition and has only seen relatively light use. Under close inspection I can only make out a few slight marks per side - nothing heavy or troublesome. Remember too - these grooves are deep mono! A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals an EXCELLENT level of playback with two deviations. Intros and inbetweens are nice and clean and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. Very difficult to find true 1st pressings that have been cared for - but this is one of those rare examples. Importantly, it's playing clean into those low-key suspenseful moody moments. And banging out clear precise audio in the upbeat numbers. But theses mono pressings are in a class of their own - you can understand why folks hanker after them. The Clapton guitar licks are heavy and rich with detail. Perfect resolving. Really clean background. I picked up 3-4 ticks early in WORLD OF PAIN [not problematic]..And a couple of minor ticks v early on side 2.  If you love this 60's CLASSIC...well worth holding out for a copy like this. One that exudes quality. Superb - OUTRAGOUSLY GOOD.
Cover (Vg+) In great order and that aesthetic on the front is well preserved. They can surface a bit battered. But this one is looking real dandy...Let's face it this is an ICONIC cover image and in this presentation it is really an eye-catcher. Some creasing top left and a bit more bottom left. Some tape ha been removed along bottom edge - so expect a bit of resigue here and there [not bad]. The spine is 90% intact - and believe me when I say that is a pretty hard find on DG. Overall the cover retains excellent rigidity. A super original specimen.
Inner (Vg) Light ageing. No splits. NO bag.
