An original copy of DG on the Reaction label from autumn 1968. Matrix A1/B3. The heavy-set vinyl comes housed in an original 1968 cover - which is almost identical to 1st issue except for the absence of lamination on the rear. These early covers are easily identified by the ultra-thin spine, the stereo format mentioned in the top-left [rather than right], and the track listing to the right side of the EYE is white - all of which are consistent with the 1st design. Also included is the original inner sleeve from '68. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Vg+/Ex-) Remains in nice condition despite having seen a moderate level of use. Do expect a few marks either side - nothing looks like being heavy or troublesome. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly NEAR EXCELLENT level of playback with one deviation. Intros and inbetweens are pretty quiet and the audio comes across with excellent clarity. This early copy delivers some powerful audio - just what you need with DG. Interference is, by and large, minor and fleeting.  Expect a few crackles in the odd spot e.g. in Track 1 & 2, but nothing remotely invasive or persistent. The only track where interference is slightly elevated is in 'We're Going Wrong' - but that is partly due to its low key nature and even then it is still not invasive. Other than that expect an impressive and enjoyable rendition with major issue.
Cover (Ex-) A very impressive looking original DG cover. A very nice clean front with beautiful bold colours and just a few light creases. Given that the rear is not laminated it is well above average condition. No ageing or excessive wear at all. Edge wear is reasonably light except on the spine - which seems to be common on this title. Don't expect to make out any of the text on the spine. Overall the cover still retains excellent rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Bit of ageing and a bit creased. But no side splits.
