Description
Cream - Disraeli Gears.
Original UK 1st Pressing - 1968 Stereo.
This LP is on the Reaction Label.
Matrix numbers: 593003 A - 1 / 593003 B - 1.
Contains original liner which is in good condition.
This is the extremely rare variation of the mono 1st press; it has the incorrect credit on side 1 'Windfall Music' and on side 2 'Apple Publishing'. Later first pressings had them corrected to 'Immediate Music' on side 1 and 'Copyright Control' on side 2. This is how you can determine that this is in fact an extremely early first pressing of this iconic album and thus, a copy like this is almost unimaginably rare, especially in this condition.
Condition This specimen of 'Disraeli Gears' has been play graded at 'EX' by VinylTap - the first track on side one -"Strange Brew" - has a few consecutive short periods of hissing and thus, this track is anomalous, and plays to a lower grading. The rest of the record, including the next track - 'Sunshine of Your Love' - plays exceptionally well, warranting the EX grading.
Both the vinyl and the cover have been thoroughly photographed by a high resolution SLR camera to enable you, the bidder, to make your own judgement regarding the aesthetic condition as this is a subjective matter.
Cleaning Process
The vinyl itself has been cleaned using a four step process, including an active enzyme solution, ultra pure water and two high resolution rinses, which optimizes the audio quality. The cleaning process is done on a 'VPI 16.5' record cleaning machine. After the cleaning process the improvement with regards to the audio quality is astonishing.

The record is then put into an anti-static rice paper inner liner to ensure that no dust or dirt can reach the vinyl (the original liner is kept and sent within the packaging). The cover, original liner and the record itself are all packaged within a clear plastic outer casing.
