Description
Cream’s Wheels Of Fire original first pressing UK 2 record set A/2 B/1 A/1 B/2 on Polydor Records.
There was a time when Cream was "The" band, they were that good and too good to last.
Features “White Room” “Deserted Cities Of The Heart” “Politician” “Sitting On Top Of The World” “Born Under A Bad Sign” “As You Said” “Those Were The Days” amongst others on record one.....Record two’s recorded at the Fillmore Auditorium and Winterland in San Francisco and includes a staggering version of “Spoonful”....Worth the price of admission alone as well the now infamous”Crossroads” which is just brilliant and Clapton at his his best!
I saw Cream live months after these San Francisco concerts were recorded at Madison Square Garden...They were ferocious live , almost battling each other, pushing themselves to the limits...it’s no wonder they didn’t stay together long, they couldn’t the combination of so much talent was combustable.
These records sound AWESOME!
The records all grade Excellent+ to Near Mint....Sides A and B on the studio LP are in Near Mint condition Side C has some ultra light wispy marks and Side D has some sleeve removal brushing nothing deep whatsoever....They’re all keepers!
This Ernest J. Day & Co. matte gatefold record cover grades Excellent to the Near Mint inner (see scans).
Comes with the original inners.
I’ve been collecting records for over 55 years now and this album is from my personal collection.
