Vinyl Audio Grade & Date of Playtest Disc 1: Excellent + To Near Mint (Supremely sharp and clear sound, no real noticeable audible crackle at all throughout the tracks, very quiet and no real noticeable background noise in between tracks, very quiet on the run ins and run offs, no skips, no jumps, no sticking, no serious loud pops or clicks that are noticeable. Excellent + To Near Mint sound quality (Playtested 22nd January 2009)

Vinyl Visual Grade Disc 1: Strong Excellent To Excellent + (there are around 9 or 10 very light superficial hairline marks over both sides of the record, these do not affect playback in any way, there is not a deep raised scratch in sight of any significance though, the record is very clean, there may be some additional barely visible paper traces from the record being placed in and out of the inner sleeve under bright light but generally the record is really clean, looks to have been played only once or twice by looking at the spindle marks and it has been looked after and cared for extremely well, labels are very nice and clean with no rips/tears to the label, there is no wear around the spindle holes, no pen marks or writing on the label, wonderful sheen to the record, overall a great copy visually)

Album Cover Grade: Excellent Minus (no creasing to the front corners apart from a slight bottom right corner crease, no creasing to the rear corners apart from a slight bottom left corner crease, there is no spine splitting but the spine does ever so slightly suffer from some wear/rubbing but the spine is still legible, no top or bottom edge splits and there is only very slight top edge rubbing/wear, there is slightly more wear/rubbing to the bottom edge, some corner rubbing, no rips or tears in the sleeve, some ringwear on the front and back that is noticeable but this is common with this LP, there is no pen marks/writing on the sleeve, the sleeve apart from the slight ringwear does not really suffer from any additional storage wear/rubbing which is strange because this sleeve is notorious for this kind of wear/rubbing because of the way it was initially made, a reasonably clean sleeve with only moderate discolouration and staining, overall a nice sleeve)

All records are graded in complete honesty and with the utmost scrutiny. All records listed have been playtested by me and will not jump, stick, or skip in any way. I have been collecting records now for approximately 12 years and have amassed quite a collection and have decided now is the time to reduce the collection in size. The quality of items listed generally varies but most of the time will be in Excellent condition or thereabouts. If it higher or lower than Excellent then it will be mentioned in full detail in the grading section above. Most of the records that will be listed will be from the 1950's, 1960's and early 1970s. The genre's will vary from prog rock, soul, reggae, rock n roll, beat, pop, psych. I will not be offering any classical records for sale though. I have some huge rarities in my collection and all will be up for sale at some point in the next year or so. MINT

The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Unplayed should be Mint.

EXCELLENT

The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

VERY GOOD

The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD

The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.

FAIR

The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump. The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR

The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

BAD

The record is unplayable or might even be broken, and is only of use as a collection-filler.
