Description
Green River is the third studio album by the American rock band. It was released in August 1969 on Fantasy Records. It was the second of three albums they recorded in that magical year that catapulted them to world wide acclaim, 1969. The album contains two of their biggest hits, “Proud Mary” and “ Green River”. The somber “Lodi” did not make the Top 40 but is revered as a rock radio staple and fan favorite. The album features the impeccable, to the point songwriting style of John Fogerty. The album quickly reached Gold then Platinum status and has been described by Fogerty as his favorite of their long players. The album also went all the way to #1 on Top 200 LPs chart in the U.S. Clean first press original copy here.
