Creedence Clearwater Revival LP Bayou Country UK 1st Press SUPER AUDIO [Ex+/Ex-]

Description

An original 1st press of BAYOU on UK Blue Liberty from Jan '69. Matrix A1/B1. Now, Creedence were already well known in the USA by this point - but much less so in the UK. It would take their appearance at Woodstock in summer '69 to bring more to the attention of folks this side of the pond. Consequently - finding this title from Jan '69 on the original Blue Liberty labels is harder than some of the other CCR titles. Worth going for a 1st copy Liberty pressing as they are amazing for audio and are pressed super chunky. The vinyl comes housed in an original fully laminated cover. We also have an original inner sleeve. So, 100% genuine and 100% complete.
Vinyl (Ex/Ex+) In super condition and has only seen relatively light use. A couple of minor trail marks side 1 [abs no issue]. There is, however, some superficial bag-rash type markings on side 1. If you don't like the look of bag-rash...then you know not to buy this copy. But if you were able to see beyond what is merely a minor cosmetic issue, and in full knowledge that the grooves are epically deep, you will be treated to some of the best audio the sixties has to offer. A thorough testing from beginning to end reveals a mostly EXCELLENT+ level of playback with one slight deviation. No kidding this copy is amazing. Crack open a can of lager and turn it way up! This baby is gonna sing... It is literally a perfect copy. I'm not getting a whiff of background. All I could detect was one solitary tick late on side 1. The audio is to die for. <THIS< is what every self-respecting CCR nut should be desperately hunting down. Highly recommended. Cannot fault.
Cover (Ex-) In lovely condition and that lamination has done a great job of preventing surface wear - and colour retention looks great too. A couple of thumbnails front and back. A touch of laminate lift at the spine - as would be difficult to avoid. Minimal edge wear and sharp openings. Text on spine pretty much fully intact, but expect a couple of stress creases. Overall still very good rigidity.
Inner (Vg+) Light ageing. Bag present. No splits.
