Creedence Clearwater Revival, Pendulum, Orig UK Liberty LP, EX/EX A-1 1st Press

Description

This is the original 1970 UK Liberty/United Artists black label stereo first press.

The sixth studio LP by CCR issued in 1970 and recorded in a month in San Fancisco. It is the most sonically adventurous CCR album, noted for its widespread use of saxophone and keyboards, in contrast to the group's previous albums, which were dominated by guitar.
The Garod & Lofthouse matt gatefold sleeve is intact & in EX condition, with some light corner/edge wear and some light storage rubbing on the outer cover and a small sticker mark on the front cover. The spine is intact, with some light rubbing and fully readable, the plain company inner is intact, creased & in VG+ condition.   The record is in visually EX condition, with only a few faint hairlines and one or two light needle scuffs visible on each side. The labels are in EX condition, undamaged, clean & bright with evidence of a couple of faint spindle markings on each side.   The sound reproduction is EX, still clear & precise throughout with no loud crackle, pops or hiss and definately no skips, sticks or jumps, but there is some very brief background noise during the run in grooves and in a couple of the quieter passages. Overall a really great, loud & clear listen.

The matrix nos. are; LBG-83400, A-4 mother stamper B-4, B-4 mother stamper b-3. This is one of the later 1st pressings of the original 1970 UK stereo 1st issue of this album!
