Description
DISC 629. CREOLE SONGS. 3 - 10" 78 RPM SET. The vocals are by Adelaide Van Wey. The cover features an illustration by David Stone Martin. It is an early example of his artwork where in this case it's signed "David Martin". I haven't seen any other instance where he didn't sign "David Stone Martin". The cover is in nice VG+ condition with just light general wear. There is an inscription in pen in the inside cover. All 3 records are in VG++ condition with nice gloss. There are no chips or cracks. I get the impression that this was a gift where the recipient gave it a token spin or two but nothing more. Overall, this would be tough to find a better copy.
SHIPPING INFORMATION. Shipping 78's is far more difficult than shipping LP's or 45's. Far more packing material is involved with bubble wrap and rigid cardboard. I've been shipping 78's for many years and I know how to do it. However the box must be oversized and it is not cheap to ship. INTERNATIONAL BIDDERS: Please check shipping cost before bidding. GRADING
Near Mint or Mint Minus- Top condition with the most minor of wear.
VG++ - Not quite near mint but a super clean, desirable copy.
VG+ -Shows signs of wear but no significant defects.
VG -Obvious signs of wear but still has life in it. VG does NOT mean beat.
VG Minus -Moderate to heavy wear. OK if you need a filler copy.
G -Borders on unplayable. Only acceptable for the absolute rarest record.
