Only one word to describe everything that could be brought to the table on this mega RARE record that is the very first composition of and playing by Jimi Hendrix on a record and that is SUPERB! The name says it all....Hornet's Nest and the frantic,swirling, moving guitar and backing creates that picture with ease...Superb check....the labels are clean, bright with no wol, tol anything to blemish either one so...Superb check. The Vinyl is shall I say it? yes PRISTINE unplayed so vinyl...Superb check and finally and most important...play quality...loud, strong without a problem so play quality Superb check. This is an important record by one of the icons of Rock and the longer it is held the more it is destined to gain in value I feel as VERY few come onto the market in any condition much less in this (wait for it...it's coming) SUPERB condition. About 15 years ago, I bought a Hendrix collection from a collector and this was the crown jewel and his advice to me,,,hold onto it 10 or so years and watch what happens...well he was right...it has gone from a very solid $100 in pretty much any kind of shape to where one brought over $500 not so long ago. Give this record in this condition that many years and who knows where it will be but Jimi's fame is going to do nothing but increase and his fan/collecting base is sure to grow and some always go back to number one (just like a mag collector Vol 1 No 1 is usually always the most collectible), Just a few reasons you might want to consider going after this iconic record. It is SUPERB! so sayeth the mississippiwaxman.
