VINYL: VG/VG+ play grade *Please understand that I try to capture any and all listening flaws, but the bottom line is that you can put this record on the turntable and play it through from start to finish with no skips, and you will be able to have a very enjoyable listening experience of this rare, 50 year old recording! With that said, there are numerous surface marks and blems on Side I, many that appear to be needle drag marks trying to cue "Suzy-Q" back up for play, and there were a few light and minor background clicks/ticks during play of the title track, but still a VG+ track. "Tornado" and "Little Pig" played with some intermittent and occasional light background noise. The "Heaven" track has consistent light background 'ticking' noise during play. Side II is relatively free of surface marks and there was only minimal surface noise heard, including two pop/clicks on "Mrs. Mergritory's Daughter" track.
COVER: Fair/Poor *please refer to photos for visual condition of front and back cover; spine seam is still intact, but top & bottom seam are 100% split and owner used scotch tape to keep closed, leaving residue as tape dried up and fell off over time; small fluid? stain lower rh corner; some light ring wear fade.
INFO: In 1957, Hawkins was playing at Shreveport, Louisiana clubs, and although his music was influenced by the new rock and roll style of Elvis Presley and the guitar sounds of Scotty Moore, Hawkins blended that with the uniquely heavy blues sound of black Louisiana artists for his recording of his swamp-rock classic Susie Q. Fellow Louisiana guitarist and future Rock and Roll Hall of Famer James Burton provided the signature riff and solo. The song was chosen as one of The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame's 500 Songs that Shaped Rock and Roll. The album includes both sides of Dale Hawkins' first four singles. (wiki)

All records are packaged in new custom record boxes. Records are sleeved and removed from jacket to prevent any seam splitting. Double albums are packaged the same with the second LP put between the gatefold jacket. A new poly album sleeve is included for each record purchased.
A shipping discount is available when buying more than one item. You can either request a quote prior to purchase, or purchase multiple items and wait for an invoice with a shipping charge for the combined items.
Insurance is optional for U.S. shipping and the $1.75 listed on the invoice would provide coverage up to $50. If greater coverage is desired, please advise before making payment and I will send a revised invoice with the correct fee.

INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING

I will not be able to ship items selling for over $50 by First Class Mail International since no insurance or tracking information is available with this freight option. If item value is over $50 you must select either Priority or Express Mail International to ship your item!
The first $100 of insurance is free when shipping via Priority Mail and even higher amount via Express Mail, with additional insurance also available for a fee. The fee is based on the weight of the parcel and the value of the contents, so please request a quote and I will provide that information.
Import duties, taxes and charges are the buyer's responsibility and are not included in the item price or shipping charges. Merchandise will not be marked below value or as a "gift".
